This song takes me all the way back to the 1980s. I was a young boy at the time but I remember being introduced to this groupo as their song Cherish was the wedding song at my aunt’s wedding. I heard Joanna again a few years ago and fell in love with it, finally knowing the title and the band, or lead singer. The video was funny.
A group of young men from the 1980s in love with a middle aged waitress or as we say now, a cougar. She was beautiful in the video but she’s probably dead now, forty years later, or very, very old. This song is catchy and the video, silly. I can’t believe it’s on MTV Classics out of the blue, just when I’m doing the review. Guh deh Joanna.
